O presidente da Associação Européia de Cockpit (ECA, na sigla em inglês), uma entidade que reúne pilotos do continente, disse nesta quarta-feira que o governo brasileiro deveria ter aprendido com a queda do avião da Gol, no ano passado, e adotado medidas para evitar o acidente com o Airbus da TAM em São Paulo.

“O governo brasileiro deveria ter aprendido sua lição com o acidente da Gol e tomado as medidas adequadas para que um desastre assim não voltasse a acontecer”, afirmou Martin Chalk, em entrevista à BBC Brasil.

Segundo ele, a instituição - que representa 36 mil pilotos e engenheiros de vôo de 32 países europeus - está preocupada com a situação aérea no Brasil desde o acidente com o vôo 1907 da Gol em setembro de 2006.

“Naquela trágica ocasião, o governo se apressou em encontrar culpados em vez de realizar uma investigação profunda para encontrar as causas do acidente e corrigir efetivamente o problema seguindo os padrões estabelecidos pela Organização Internacional de Aviação Civil (ICAO, na sigla em inglês)”, afirmou.

“Esperamos que esta vez isso não se repita, para que as deficiências do sistema aéreo brasileiro possa ser definitivamente solucionadas.”
